Macbeth was Army Commander under Duncon I. before he took Force after his assassination.
Unlike William Shakespeare’s Drama -which is based on a 16th Century account of the Chronicler Raphael Holinshed– the change of power led to Prosperity, Peace, and Order by giving him, for example, succeeded in ending disputes of individual rival Regions. This is shown, among other things, by the fact that Macbeth, after several months of pilgrimage to Rome, still found Scotland peacefully.

He died in the Fight against Malcolm III. who had previously secured the Support of the english King Eduard the Confessor.
As a result, this led to an increasing english Influence on Scotland, which more and more the celtic Culture was replaced by the Anglo-Saxon, and later by the French-Norman. Macbeth was the last scottish King who buried on Iona.

The Life of Macbeth was filmed in 1971 based on the drama of Shakespere as ‘Shakespere’s Macbeth’.
